Recent wildfires from down South brought some color into our pristine sunset skies.


The last work meeting finished later than usual, so my after-work hike coincided with sunset.
Granted, my M3C Maverick was with me, and I shortened my hike (did only 3 miles instead of the usual 4) to make sure I had enough time to set up.


Wildflowers in the park








Skies are getting fired up








It took a very long time again to acquire enough satellites, so I started shooting at 100ft





But eventually, I got enough and went up to 400ft





The light actually was not *that* sweet, but oh well, I get what I can





Got some 3x3. Drone and Raw version. Which one is which and which do you like better?








And, finally, is a short-and-sweet 1-minute flick with the pics and a hyperlapse.

It's a nice area, for sure.
The park proper is off limits for drones, so I have to stay just out of its boundaries.

Stunning shots Darth,  I especially like the flowers.   Was that a focus stack shot?

Absolutely spectacular sunset shots Darth.    Sad about the fires south of you but it sure added some vivid color to the skies.  

If you don't mind I'd like to use one of the shots as a screensaver on my laptop.  

A great sense of drama to those shots!

Are some of them HDR shots or photoshopped composites? The ridge-line between the distant hill and the sky looks to have some kind of halo in some of the shots, like you get when HDR processing.

the masking in ACR is great, so glad they have finally made those changes public, it's been in dev long enough, but now it's a real game-changer
