Even when I'm not looking for them - totems pop up in the most unexpected places.
Spotted this one as I was walking past a second-hand shop.

Well, the specifications seem to be less strict now - nowadays these totems can be other than owls too. Fir instance, a swan totem I posted was accepted :-D

For me, that really seems like a true totem.

Bleriot coming across all of these starts to feel like some kind of a mystery movie though

I was tempted to buy it, but I would have been over-ruled
And maybe it doesn't qualify for the series, as it's not a permanent fixture,
But it is 2 metres tall.

Yeah, that's the correct term indeed
I remember standing at a railway station with my camera when I was 11.
There was a crossing on the other side of the yard and I was 100% sure the gates were going down multiple times. But most of the times I was wrong...
