This is an unfortunately familiar issue for many new Pocket 2 owners. To help the problem a little, I have created threads that mention which phones and tablets are compatible and non-compatible with the Pocket 2. Those threads also contain troubleshooting tips for situations when there are connection problems.
As of now, I haven't heard reports about the Redmi Note 5, so I can't say immediately if that model can be used for activation or not. For what I'd suggest, I'd start by trying the troubleshooting tips at the threads and see if one or some of those could make a difference in getting it to work.
If you happen to test this model yourself, then you can contribute to the list by reporting your test results in the forementioned threads. Each report makes the list a bit larger and helps people find the models and app versions that help them to activate their Pocket 2's.
You can see the threads at https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=235190 (for phones) and https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=237518 (for tablets).
If nothing else helps, you could do what I had to do at first: When I found out my phone wasn't compatible, I asked my friend to borrow his phone for activation. After it was done, I could start using the Pocket 2 as a stand-alone unit.
I hope your problem will be solved, I know from my own personal experiences this can be an extremely frustrating issue! |
