I work in the IT department of a company that uses Microsoft Intune Endpoint Manager to manage our android devices. We have to approve any apps used on the devices using this. We are trying to make the DJI Mimo app available to a handful of our users to use on their corporate owned fully managed devices.  Unfortunately the DJI Mimo app isn't available in the Google Play store and only available as an .apk file to download.  I have tried to make the apk file available in Intune, but both the older and current versions are too large.  Are there any plans to make available in Google play or can a much smaller version of the apk file be made available please?  As it stands, we can’t use the DJI OM 5 devices.

Thanks in advance for any guidance with this.

Hello, there. We apologize for the inconvenience. Because the compatibility strategy between the DJI App and Google Play Store is changing, you currently cannot finish downloading and updating using Google Play. Please visit the DJI official website to download and install the latest app and obtain the complete updates in the app. Thank you for your understanding.

Ok, but is there any plan or time table to fix the app so it can be compatible for google play once again for all of the android users out there who have spent a lot of money on your products and are unable to download the apk app off your website? Or is there no plan to ever make it compatible with google play?

Hello, there. Sorry for your inconvenience. You mentioned that you could not download the apk file of the apps off. May we know more details about that? We will try our best to help you.

I work in IT in a different company with more than 300 users, and I have the same issue. DJI is just not listening to IT specialists, they use Apple store because they can't sideload their apps in IOS devices. DJI is just looking as any unsafe software resource in Android.

I also tried deploying their apk in our Intune devices, but I found no way.

An excuse is an excuse even if you can explain it. A lot of companies publish their applications in google play, there's no reason for you not to make the effort to accomplish with google rules, other than not wanting to.

Thanks
