Indeed. It began to rain in the last five minutes, and I had to hurry the half-mile home to avoid getting drenched

Nicely done Mr B,   did she kick you out before dinner?.  

This one was too much contrast for the generated timelapse video.
The only way to squeeze a bit more information out of this is to use the DNG files and convert them into a timelapse in your editor (Davinci does a great job with this)

I noticed that the clouds were very grainy towards the end.

YES WE CAN!
Great feature.
Just be aware of the massive amount of data it generates.
A 2 hour timelapse will be somewhat like 25Gb.
But it really opens up the quality and reveals so much more details.

I've set the P2 to Video +RAW for timelapse. But now the minimum gap between shots is 4 seconds - not one second as in JPEG mode. Due to the data transfer rate no doubt.

I use  Davinci (Windows version) for all my video editing - not done any RAW yet though.

Working with batches of DNG files is easy. As long as they have filenames that are a continuous sequence (which is the case unless you remove some by hand, or when you cross the 9999)
Just put them in one folder and drag them all on the media bin.
Davinci looks at it as if it is a video file.
And make sure you apply some color correction, because the DNG's look quite flat without it.

Damn looks like you have to much time on your hands Blériot Currently I'll settle for some rain free sky. I suspect the rain was due to me charging up all the batteries and then down it came, and came,and came.
