In video mode yes,   but if you want to take a photo at -90 and need to slightly adjust the composition, the gimbal leaps around.

I remember the M2 had problems flying forward when the gimbal was down -90

Mines OK for that,  its only photo mode it struggles.   I know just hold the wheel constantly when looking down to maintain it.

Good for the tadpoles in a nearby overflow pond. It almost went dry yesterday.
I hope they survived the frost.

Is it safe in the woods at night,  I tried that many years ago and even though I thought I know the area really well I ended up getting somewhat wet in a ditch and gave up and back tracked the long way round.

I usually walk the same route that goes past this pond. (actually it is a overflow for the rainwater sewer)
