So as we know and have read, Dji will be releasing a new firmware to fix the long dreaded GPS wait times and as most of you know i have been very vocal about this. I am glad to say that there is a fix and it truely does work, now dont ask me how or where i got this from but know that it works. I updated my firmware and in less than a minute i had 14 sats on the ground with home point locked. It works like it was supposed to now. I am very happy but unforuntaly i cannot share anything further than this but will post a screenshot of the new firmware build below so for those that dont believe me will believe.

Whatever was done in this firmware, the drone gets up to 30 sats very quickly in the air, before I could not get more than 19/20 sats in the air.

I think we already do know, they made a blunder when they rushed out the December firmware and now have found the fix.

But, there have also been a lot of "misleading" statements, meanwhile...
Much was dismissed as if it were "quite normal".
Of course, I would be very interested to know why the problems of the different M3 owners were very different...

I highly doubt Dji will be that transparent with us.

It's bad that they made the mistake and didn't pick up something so obvious.
But what possible reason can there be for taking three months before fixing it?

1. Do You know when we mortals will have it?

2. What else do they break in this one?

It wont be long until its out now. With a build out in the wild circling around, it would mean it is in the hands of QA (quality assurance) and is likely just undergoing testing now while they put the bow on it. I would expect it anytime in the next 1-2 weeks, unless an issue is discovered in testing.

To everyone who harped on this being a hardware failure, I hope you learn a little something from this. I have said from beginning of this issue that everything pointed to a firmware issue, and that there was no evidence at all of hardware malfunction. People need to focus more on the evidence in front of us. This was always an obvious firmware issue.

Thanks Tips and I will wait until DJI releases to the masses. I wouldn't take a hand out from you if you were the last person on earth. Like Franky said if you didn't flex yourself here as being better than everyone else perhaps you could be taken more seriously. I have never understood how someone can be so insulting hiding behind a keyboard and think you would be liked and accepted.
Until DJI releases it I am happy to wait.

I don't find it hard to wait at all!
I would also only flash an official version, hopefully with more interesting innovations...
The GPS lock takes about 2 minutes here, with glorious sunshine and hardly any wind, pleasant temperatures.
The way I handle the launch (without hovering to wait for the GPS) it doesn't use any extra power from the battery either.
However, in my experience, the other drones (from DJI) were "lightning fast" in terms of GPS...

Without DJI revealing the cause of the problem, we will never know if it is hardware related.  But from a consumer perspective that doesn't matter much to me, as long as the drone works as advertised.  I'm grateful to all of the M3 early adopters that were willing to spend their time and money to help DJI fix the drone.
