You're very welcome DA.    Yeah, I saw on the news about the Sahara rain.  Sahara rains are quite the phenomena.

MAde a real mess here,   My BBQ area which is dark grey slate coloured stone was turned a dull yellow.  And oddly its so fine it doesn't just rinse off,   required a cloth to shift it.

That doesn't sound like an easy mess to clean up then.  Sounds more like the texture of talc.

Yes,  actually that it is a very good description,   it was much finer than the Sahara dust that we got in Lanzarote,   we arrived to the villa and everything was red.

Wow, that sounds more like volcano dust.  It always amazes me about how the air can carry things for miles.  For example, we went through a sand storm while deployed on a Navy ship and we were hundreds of miles from the closest land.  Also had a bird land on the ship and no land in sight anywhere.  Guess the wind currents are a bit more powerful than one would initially think.

Its a little like red ash in someways.   incredibly fine,  got everywhere.

Find red ash type material all over was definitely not the way to start your trip to Lanzarote.

We turned up and the everything was red,  including the pool.    We soon realised there was a cleaner there desperately trying to sort it,    they did a good job.

It was a great place,  we had booked somewhere else last minute and about a week before we were due to go the company called up to inform us the place we booked wasnt available as there was now a building site next door,  so we had to look again and this was available and a bit cheaper.  Normally it was £3300 a week rent and we paid about 1/3 of that.

We were very lucky with that,  and got home about 2 weeks before covid lockdowns hit the UK.
