Thanks Depp. It is noisy - no quiet repose in the churchyard to sit and think.
And no - no visit alas.  Due to prevailing COVID restrictions still in force in Wales, it's only open 10h30 until noon on Wednesdays. Our journey past ( in either direction) is on a Saturday.

Remarkable shots Mr. B.    I've seen tall spires on churches but not one quite this tall.  Love the architecture of the church.

Thanks RDB. I think it tops out at just under 70 metres. Constructed largely in several types of marble around 1850.

Not so far.  Rhuddlan castle is closed until the end of the month.-and in a NFZ ( though I got a distant shot with the M2Z)
Beaumaris castle is afternoons only (and a NFZ).  What with the difficult weather, it has been  a frustrating week.

Nice steeple, nice area, lots of graves. Could not see a river and you say the traffic is noisy but I guess you could still laze in the midday haze, lolling among the grasses and graves.

There are a number of benches dotted about the churchyard. Some in quieter corners than others.
And across the other side of the expressway, set in parkland, is Bodelwyddan castle.

Yes. The drive down on Saturday was in full sun, but the wind was very strong.  Sincce then it's been dull and wet, with just a few spells of sunshine. Today is glorious however.

You couldn't make this up
In the time it took to have breakfast and pack the gear, the wind has blown in rainclouds with the incoming tide, and it's now pouring down.
At least we can drive a few kilometres along the coast and listen to the High-Tide bell at 10h15.

We're going to drive the few miles along to the High Tide bell and maybe record it  @ the 10h15 high tide today. Then off to lunch somewhere

70 meters is definitely quite tall.  Only draw back with a spire that tall is it could be an attractive target when lightening is around.

Yes, but the bell wasn't nearly as loud as we'd imagined it would be.
And since the sea was only rolling in steadily rather than crashing in like it might in a storm, the chimes were less frequent than might have been expected, as well.
