Took this shot of the moon some time ago using the Osmo mobile 3

Was it a Harvest Moon?

Curious colour. Is that the Sahara dust too.

Don't remember ever seeing the moon quite that color so what an intriguing capture.

Dunno about a half assed moon
This was just after the moon came over the mountain at the time when there must have been a lot of volcanic dust / or any old dust from fires etc.

According to a guy named Buzz, it's all cheddar.

Often when on the horizon or just above (like at that time)  the moon at rise or set will take on an unusual hue from atmospheric dust/ash.

I have seen how atmospheric dust can change the hue of the moon on a couple of occasions while deployed on Navy ships.
