I have ring for RS2 that includes baseplate, which can be powered from v-mount battery. My question is if it's possible (non harmless for gimbal) to power it via NP-F battery instead? D-tap adapter on picture has max power output of 5A.

So can this combo do any harm to gimbal or no?

how should an upvolting from 7.2V to 12V-14,4V somehow generate 5A?
maybe for 2 minutes ; -)

you need 2 x NP-F for the RS-2

Well my question was if it can harm the gimbal, not the longlivity of battery ;). When I get confirmation it wont hurt the gimbal, I can do deep testing on how long it will work. I have Tilta baseplate (13-17V) on gimbal and yet it powers the gimbal from 7.2V (just did the quick on/off test).

the tilta baseplate should have reserves that the andycine does not.

so undervolting should be achievable quickly and then damage can also occur.
In the best case, the gimbal simply switches off, depending on how DJI has installed a safety shutdown here.

but when I read various messages because of power problems with tilta ring . . . .
