Seems like DJI has had several recent items delayed at expected release date.

This one seems especially delayed as it was late last year just after Mavic 3 when we first starting getting the reviews of this.

Probably will be blamed on production woes.  

Different topic.  Seems a bit of interest now on which GPS chip was used in the M3.  Guess that is what happens when a worldwide shortage of chips occurs.  Kind of same reason why auto production in the states is way, way behind previous years numbers.  Hopefully, they haven't been cutting corners on their chips.

The teardown of the GPS module over on the Mp forum showed they used a good chip in it though.

If the EASA gets more strict, this could by a good product to spend credits on.

No probs DT,   theres now some comments that the GPS is actually the automatic version and thats the cause of the issues.

Unfortunately, we will never hear the answer from DJI as to what the real problem is.  I almost pulled the trigger in buying the M3 but really glad I hesitated not only once but twice.

That seems to be a popular excuse (and probably is a real excuse quite often)

If it's firmware it seems it wouldn't take forever to test and fix it.  If it turns out to be hardware constrained then that's a whole other issue.

Sadly there are so many variables involved in testing it,  its quite hard for one person to get a good set of results without a lot of time.

With it being a time intensive process I guess that is why DJI has been working on it since problem was discovered way back in early January.

Having worked with some of the engineers that do those tests internally I was quite surprised that they did it,  although I didnt work for one of the offenders.

Normally the engineers are very keen to over engineer to make a statement,  so to cheat like this is very odd.
