Not that often that they turn out very nice.
And when it happens, I'm usually too late.
Plus I would need a good point to capture it.
- I say we get about 30 decent sunsets here per year, so 10%. Your situation can't be much worse.
- Use your computer/phone/tablet to warn you about sunsets.
I have my iPhone set to warn me 5 min prior, which is typically enough for me the way the light plays out around here.
I'm sure Androids can do dynamic alarms as well.
In some cases, if I see the making of an awesome sunset, I start earlier, like 15-20 min in advance, but that's maybe 2-3 times a year. - As for the "good point"... Ain't the elevated vantage point of the drone good by itself? Even 400 AGL is something you don't get to experience very often IRL.
