I am considering buying a new or used Mavic Mini 1 but my phone is not on the supported list for the DJI Fly app. I have read that I might be able to use the Litchi app along with my unsupported Motorola G7 play to operate the drone.

Does anyone know if this is accurate?

When flying your DJI Mavic Mini it would be best to use a recommended mobile device and please use the DJI Fly application ( https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-fly )  when flying your DJI Mavic Mini to ensure stability and comparability during flight. There is a possibility that these 3rd party applications like Litchi application will be able work. However, since it's not optimized and tested by DJI we cannot guaranteed the stability of the said 3rd party applications if it will work all the time with no issues and might void the warranty of the said DJI Mavic Mini. In addition, please rest assured that DJI is continuously testing multiple mobile devices to be added on the recommended mobile device list for the DJI Fly ( https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-fly )  application in the future.
