Hello Folks

Here are my first pictures from my M3 with the wide angle lens. No color grading nothing just right out of the box. The only thing is the pictures are taken in RAE so I had to down size them a little to fit the forum.
What I realized was that the picture with the lens has a slight better color then the one with the standard lens. If you are interested in the original RAW pictures just ask for them.

On my laptop screen I cannot detect any colour difference between the two images, but the benefit of the wide angle lens is clear.

Well this maybe because my main screen is calibrated. Today I’ll put the original RAW pictures in my dropbox and I’ll post the linke here. You will definitely see the difference when you put the 2 pictures side by side. I don’t think the time difference of 3 minutes will make a difference

Very nice shots.    Wide angle lens is a plus for sure.  

Only seems subtly different to me.




PS this is the real DAFlys and not the account that is _Daflys thats imitating me,  and has been reported in the forum issues section.

Hard to judge with this tiny forum photo if one is better than the other.

Yes sir you are right but as mentioned I just added the pictures as they came out of the M3

So the M3 auto corrects more when the wide angle is attached (so it knows it is on) ?

Well this is my personal opinion. Did you have a look at the original footage?

Yes, I did.
Affinity Photo does not auto correct the lens profile.
So I wonder if the M3 does (since the wide lens will require a different lens profile)

Well I don’t know. All I have seen is the same issue as already discussed with the funny black line at the bottom. Did you see the color difference also?

I did not notice that issue.
And the black line at the bottom did not appear here either (something with Apple photo app I think).

I did not try the DNG in Davinci. Just in AP and photo viewer.
