It's s35 coverage lens so not full frame. Only one In the range.

About the same as 24mm FF.

Hi there, this is normal. Just to clarify, Zenmuse X7 DL-S 16mm F2.8 ND ASPH lens is used for Super 35 camera, while DJI Ronin 4D Zenmuse X9-6K/X9-8K gimbal camera is a full-frame camera. When a 16 mm lens is attached to the full-frame camera for recording, vignetting occurs that your images will have black edges around them. Therefore, the image needs to be cropped in the post-production, and the cropped image is similar to the 24mm imaging range, so the 16mm lens is not compatible.

is there any chance to hide the vignetting in the monitor?  at 35mm setting the zoom is extreme.  At 24mm I don't have that.

You can change the 4d to Super35 mode, which crops into the sensor but makes your lens effectively a 24mm. I was offered the 16mm at half price to "get me going" because the e-mount adaptor wasn't available then and still isn't where I live. A month later, I haven't used the 4d yet! I'd have no problem restricting myself to the full frame DL lenses if they were all half their current price if only to avoid the issues people seem to be having with their e-mounts. They simply don't shout £1200 to me.
