Since I found out I couldn't install the dji fly app on my non-compatible phone I bought a Samsung Tab A7 Lite which just happens to be on sale at Costco for 170 = 40=130 + tax.  It's perfect and I just had my first flight! Whoopee! One thing though the tablet tho small is a bit too big to fit under the clamp that holds it the controller.  
Can anyone recommend a clip or holder to solve this minor problem?

I prefer this one to use with all my tablets.  It's well made and have had zero issues with it.

Get some Sugru and make an extender for the clamp that fits your tab.
Easy, cheap & fast

(to make it removable and void sticking, use cling wrap in between when molding it)

That is the adapter I use with my iPad Mini 5...  Cheap as chips, easy to use and holds the tablet very securely.  Pops on and off in a second and fits right in the bag.

EDIT - I just noticed that link is for the SET of 2 adapters - unless you are using multiple devices, you only need the one that fits your device...  The individual adapters can be had for less.

I didn't even know they sold it in a single pack.

I do use both. The smaller one works great for my S21 Ultra in a case and the bigger one fits my A7 without any issues.

As most tablet mounts are designed for 10" tablets or holding  the tablet above the control sticks, i finally found this one in size S.
It fits perfect for my Galaxy Tab A7 lite LTE.

This is the one I use..... it's a very sturdy adjustable clamp that you can use with both tablets AND phones, it has a lanyard neck strap to help support the weight of a heavy tablet, and there's just really nothing at all bad that I can say about it.
