I did not color correct anything. I used no red filters.  The pros of the action:  Very easy and quick start up.  Long battery.  Very stable. Cons:  Image quality not like the GoPro.  No dive attachments (filters, macro lens, etc).  I still enjoyed using it and will continue to take it while diving.  @DowntownRDB

Yep.  Its funny but I found myself using the Action more than the GoPro.  I think is the just easier underwater with it's upright position.

That was a nice video and interesting comparison. I'll have to say I like the contrast and the vividness of the colors in the GoPro footage better.

Have you caught yourself those red filters (even if they are not used here?) How much will they upgrade the image quality? I have toyed around with the thought of getting the waterproof case and possibly some filters for the Pocket 2, but not sure if I would use them so much that they are a worthy investment. I certainly am not as seriously involved in diving than you are, at least not now. Any certain brands you would recommend?

Thanks. No overheat issues at all. I've taken it one two dive trips now. This past dive trip I let my brother use it and he never shut it off. It auto turns off after a few mins. I did make the mistake  last week of not switching it off rock steady to horizon steady so his videos had a bad fish eye effects. You probably already knew that. But for me....Live and learn. I just have a cheap housing from amazon. Hasn't leaked yet.

I really like the action 2 on land and the GoPro for scuba diving.  The GoPro's have so much more dive attachments (filters, lens, etc)
