Hi there,

A few weeks ago I bought an fpv drone, now I want the try the virtual flight app because I want to learn to fly in manual mode.

It looks like the goggles can’t process the data. On the screen on the the IPhone (SE 2020/ 12 pro max) it looks fine, but in the goggles it really sucks (don’t know how you call it in English)

What should/ can I do?

I have the same issue as you did on my iPad after I update to the nearest IOS. The app works fine on my iPhone. Now I can only run this apps with IPhone instead of IPad

Yes I can wait for it..

I just wanted to know what the problem was and if I could do something about it, but if the problem is the app I can l live with that!

I don't know how to solve your problem but I strongly advise to get another simulator. I use velocidrone (around 20€) and that works really well. The DJI one looks good but works badly.

I’d like to practice on a simulator that plays in the goggles.. On a computer screen everything is on a screen, with the goggles you’re kind of in it. In my googles I get dizzy sometimes, on a screen I don’t get dizzy.

I’d like it as real as possible.. (so in my goggles, but that’s not possible?)

Sorry, I’m not a gamer, never played a game, so don’t know what’s possible..

I haven't heard of another simulator that uses the goggles.
When I tried DJI's sim in the goggles I got dizzy/almost sick as well. I don't think it is very real.
When flying the real thing with the goggles I never got dizzy (though I had trouble standing up the first months).
Good luck in finding out what suits you best!

I have exactly the same problem now.
But the biggest joke is, I only updated my IOS to 15.4.1 because of the DJI Virtual-Flight app, because it (still) says so in the installation instructions.
If I connect the goggles to the iphone, I have a similar crappy picture in the goggles, you can see there nothing more, and after 10 seconds the goggles restarts. Also the remote control then loses the connection.
I wanted to practice with virtual flight in the simulator so that I do not immediately ground my newly purchased FPV Combo drone.
Please update Virtual Flight, and fix this stupid bug!
But maybe it's a new business model from DJI? Is your repair department underutilized?
Something like this does not inspire confidence!

I am experiencing the same issue on all my iOS devices. Anyone happen to find a workaround?

Issue:
-Jittery/static screen display when using the goggles.
-Goggle restarts after a couple minutes disconnecting the controller.
-slightest  improvement in performance with iPad Pro, but same display issue with goggle.

Hi all, same issue here. Suddenly today I see a corrupted screen inside the goggles when using the DJI simulator. Also googles crashes and this stops the simulator even when flying from the screen of the iPad. Last week no problems at all.  I’m happy I see these post, as I thought my goggles just broke down for no reason. I will wait for update now. Thanks. Happy flying!

Recently bought it and thought it was a defect unit
Thanks to the internet, found out everyone shares the same issue
Please could DJI fix it asap, the product is now very broken

Pleaaasee DJI fix it soon! :c i just bought the fpv drone and now i can’t practice. Hope the new firmware comes up asap, and also support another simulators

I second the Velocidrone suggestion as I see a number of top FPV fliers rate it highly. I’ll be downloading it this week. I honestly don’t think the goggles are the key thing for simulators, but more getting your brain to understand how to fly FPV and build the muscle memory - so that you fly naturally IRL.

Was there any word on this from DJI??
I purchased the FPV drone with the intent to use Virtual Flight with my Android (Fold 4) and I am experiencing the same issues mentioned in this thread on my Goggles V2.

It's a bit discouraging that they take the time to add the new Avata, but not bother to optimize the app for the devices that most people who can afford the drones have.

The app has extreme pixellation and crashes almost constantly.
Feels like DJI just doesn't care by the looks of things unfortunately, might have to go to Twitter where most companies seem to give a darn lol.

I have two iPhones and an Android it doesn't work on any of them you can't switch modes picture looks terrible!
