I gave DJI lots of credit for creating the Original Mini. It was a light, compact and affordable drone that did a lot of what the largere drones could do. It was targeted at beginners and had a great entry level plrice. Mini 2 followed that same pattern of the Mini albeit the price went up but that was understandable due to chip shortage, pandemic, etc.
When DJI charges double the Mini 2 price then most would be better off moving up the Mavic Air 2 or even the Air 2S.

How to define "Bargain" ? Even if the price seems reasonable to potential buyers (I'm not one-yet) then it's only a bargain if it performs well, isn't beset by numerous after-sales glitches, and receieves the long-term support it deserves. Too soon to describe it as a bargain. Time and performance will determine that.
