Yes,   I was surprised a little to see it,  especially at that time of day (late afternoon).   I checked yesterday and it was about the same,   Although yesterday I did have to dodge this chap.

Not a snake fan so I would have avoided that snake also.

Curious, is that a poison variety?

Very true Mr B.

Question?  The sling bag you use for the drone, does it double up at being a bum bag too?

Question?  The sling bag you use for the drone, does it double up at being a bum bag too?

The LowePro for the Mavic2 you mean?   Apart from the carry handle, there a clip on either side for a shoulder strap, but nothin on the back for a bumbag attachment. With all the kit in, it would be a bit heavy and cumbersome as a bumbag.  So, NO is the short answer.
When I go out fully kitted up (2 drones, Pocket 2, GPS for Geocacheing) I carry a rucksack.
That's how I went out this morning.  The extra load on my back gives a good workout on the hilly sections too.

Yes,  thats an adder,  its the only poisonous naturally wild snake we have,   they can also swim which is scary.    Luckily he was only a small one and I didnt stand on him.

Glad you didn't stand on him also.  I wasn't aware that they could swim.

We have a few snakes that can swim and that is why I avoid diving in swampy looking places.  Well snakes and alligators also.

Id never considered them swimming until two swam past me.   I see that alligators are no longer trendy in Florida for pets,  its all about the anaconda's now.

I've seen lots of news articles about people buying snakes for pets at home.  Then, they grow too large so they get turned lose in the swamps.  From there they just multiply and multiply and grown to record sizes.  Some of the large ones they have captured in the Everglades are of tremendous size.

Now that sounds very scary,   At least our little snakes are a metre long tops.

I think you get used to them a little bit,  they also have a lot of signs up warning you about them.   As long as you look where you are going they dont bother you,  they only care if you stand on them.

I saw a photographer just after I came across him and told him where it was and he hurried off to see it.

We encountered a venomous snake once (more than once, but on the same place)

They are not all that common here either.  but this park is known for them,  later in the summer there will be idiots out there collecting them for pets

Perhaps its because they are rare here but I do find them very intimidating.

Nice shots for the castle :-)

As for the snakes, my friend used to have one and I even got a closer look, but that wasn't a poisonous one. It was okay, had a nice-looking pattern on its skin and didn't seem to be threatening at any way. But as for the ones in the nature and the poisonous ones, I'd rather leave them alone.

I find them to be very intimidating.  Weird as how I'm afraid of snakes but not sharks.
