Today I went to the supermarket and got a big surprise.   
Just browing through the magazine aisle and I came across a Life style magazine,  and what do you know?   My Hadleigh Castle image is on the front cover.   
Now to be fair I had given permission for its use already,  the surprise was I wasnt expecting it until next week.


The image was also features inside for a feature about the Castle.

Ps Please dont ask about the fee.

Today lots of DIY stuff.

Yeah, well, not my thing, but the kids love it.
(I did too when I was that age)
Yeah, we had to get a quote for a garden roof, so that took quite a bit of time off my normal Saturday schedule. But I hope that was worth it.

Are foul ball souvenirs what it sounds like?    You took baseballs home with you?

At college games and professional games when a home run or a foul ball is hit a lucky spectator retrieves it and gets to take it home as a souvenir.  Before COVID hit sometimes a player would take the ball into the dugout and get it autographed and then hand it back to the kid that retrieved it.

Funny thing is one of the foul balls they got at the game was after a guy holding a beer in his hand tried to catch the ball but forget he had the beer in his hand and the ball knocked the beer out of his hand and my youngest grandkid grabbed the ball as it rolled by.  Luckily, the beer vendor was nearby for him to get another beer.

Must be a different sport.  Most professional baseball teams go through 40-50 baseballs per game.

Quite possibly as they raise nets in the end zones for extra point attempts so as not to lose the football.  Particularly since the NFL is all about making money, lots of  money and not giving anything away.
