Filming the road works while the road is closed. No traffic to contend with. They haven't really started yet. No wonder it's going to take 5 months.
Seems like road construction projects are always slow no matter the location.
For heavy traffic it's about a ten mile detour. For cars; if you know the little country lanes, it adds on maybe a mile or two - BUT they're single track farm roads and you risk meeting a farm tractor coming the other way with no room to pass.

Now that is interesting. What happens when the car and tractor meet with no way to turn around? Is that a long back up in reverse for somebody?

Usually the car driver - but there are intermittent cut-ins and crossroads, fortunately. If the timing is right, you can dive into one of those. If not............

I would be looking for one of those cut-ins or crossroads at the first opportunity as I abhor driving in reverse for long distances.

For sure. Comparing a car against a large tractor....easy win for the tractor. Contrary to what some people think, size does matter.
