From a recent trip to Poole's Cavern in Buxton, Derbyshire.

It's a constant 7 degrees Celsius - Summer and Winter. Quite cool, but a bit of warm clothing and a woolly hat were sufficient.

OIC,   so not as cold as it looks them.    Was there plenty of free water on offer?

St. Anne's well in the centre of Buxton is the free spring water. I think that might be from a different source.

Thanks Depp. An educational experience for us, as well as the grandchildren we took to visit the caves.

Really cool place!  Haven't tried any cave exploring myself yet, maybe the claustrophobia haha.

Any walking vids or just photos?

Just pictures. It was a treat for the grandkids on a conducted tour.More pictures to follow.

Looks like a very interesting place, and nice shots!

Was all the lighting from the cave's own lights or did you have some kind of LED panel or other additional light with your Pocket 2?

As we moved from section to section, the guide illuminated particular features with a combination of installed spotlights and a powerful hand torch. That was the only lighting used.  I have some more pictures to upload soon, as in one section with stalagmites, the illumination was Ultra-violet.

Thanks for the info, asked because I have been wondering if I should get some kind of LED panel for both photo- and cinematography.

No problem.  As an experiment, I tried a few shots when the lights were off, and the only illumination was the glow from other people's camera phones -ie almost full dark.   The P2 produced images, surprisingly, but not ones I'd call useable.
I couldn't really offer any advice about additional lighting, having never tried it.

Always best to take advantage of the great weather as you can edit on bad weather days.  

Besides, getting out and walking is good for us.

Lovely day again today. An early start with both drones this morning.

Probably not the best camera for this kind of work, but sometimes you have to work with what you have with you right.

It's good nobody has attempted any pun about being in the dark about this post and equally as good Blériot53 has thrown some light on this feature.
Good to see the cave is open to the public and not locked off.
Actually I suppose it has been investigated over the years?

No SHADY characters here making puns
The Victorians blasted open the cave originally and did more dynamiting further in to gain access, destroying a lot of the natural formations in the process.
Organized public visits have been available since those days.
