Once a loading dock for limestone from the quarries at Buxton, this is now a Marina for leisure narrowboats.

Lovely smooth flight Mr B,  and looks like the weather was slight too.

Impressive footage Mr. B .    The Mini still flies and films well.  

Nice that they repurposed the location vice just abandoning it after it was no longer needed to quarry limestone.

Yes, the railways superceded the canals for transporting the limestone - even to this day.
Canal leisure boating is very popular in the UK.

Same again this morning. We're going to walk the other way, up the Sett Valley trail today.
Bit of Geocacheing and a café at the far end. Then the bus back.
The P2 will accompany me. of course

Nice.  I will probably just venture down to the creek and back,  I have a spot for a new cache to check out but that can wait for another day.
