Recreational diving is fun.  The government and several corporations are spending billions to explore space.  I'm spending very little exploring what's under the surface of the ocean.  Always finding new and exciting things.

I took it up initially as a stress reducer.  So peaceful and calm under the water.  Enjoyed it so much that now I dive recreationally on a regular basis.  Once the kids are grown and gone it might be something you should try out.  Also good for your health as you exercise a lot of  muscles swimming and it beats running and wearing out your knees.

I really love being under water (just without the pressurized air so far).
I usually stay in the water for hours when we are in Sweden.
So who knows.

That really is a good thing.  Nothing wrong with snorkeling or free diving as it builds up the lungs and is good for all the body muscles.

Yes it would. But it is not something you can 'just' do. Takes quite a bit of preparation (training)
