Has anyone tried FCC on this RC? I managed to install GPS Faker on it via apk pure and google maps but the GPS Faker does not show a map so i cannot point it to USA. Seems that it is been blocked. When i open the app it shows FCC for a second then goes back to CE mode. This RC compared to the RC-N1 drops 2 bars at 800 meters and signal strenght goes to orange, with the standard RC i can go to 2.5km before the signal bars go to 3 bars and turn to orange in CE mode. I have the antenae facing the drone properly but it does not help. I wonder if signal boosters will help.

It is a nice RC and i like the C1/C2 and 5D Button that i miss from the previous Mavic days but the screen touch is very sensitive, unlike using the iPhone, also colours on screen look washed out. With my iPad or iPhone i could see the colours nicely on the screen. I like the RC Pro but also hate some things about it.

I am assuming that you are actually aligning the antennas "correctly", i.e. with the flat side towards the M3 (not the tips!), and - with this flat side - roughly at right angles to the drone. Then the best transmission power can be expected...

It is best to test from a higher point with a direct line of sight, because everything else is very difficult to judge, i.e. if there are obstacles between you and the M3.

"Signal Boosters" actually help! I mean the attachable Yagi antennas...
However, one must note that this significantly increases the directivity of the signals! An exact alignment to the M3 is then all the more important!

There are two types of these Yagi antennas:
For the 2.4 GHz range (longer rods) and for 5.8 GHz (very short rods).
2.4 GHz mainly "in the open air", the range is significantly greater!
5.8 GHz mainly "inner-city" because many 2.4 GHz transmitters are in operation...

Of course, the connection to the M3 does not only depend on the RC Pro, the M3 has to send everything back to the RC Pro, especially the video stream! If you turn the M3 (at a great distance) 360°, you can often see very well that the connection quality can change drastically.

When using the Yagi antennas, it can be an additional advantage to set the reception band (in the Fly app) accordingly, i.e. 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz, so that the currently most suitable band is not constantly (automatically) tried to search... It makes little sense, for example when using the 2.4 GHz Yagis, to continuously scan the 5.8 GHz band.

My observation is that you don't always fly with 4 or 5 white bars, but the range is up to about 4.5 - 5 km without problems...
Maybe one or the other tip will help you too. I hope so...

Thanks Franky. Yes that is how I have the RC pointing at the AC. At 800 meters no matter what I try I get weak signal. I will try to get those yagi antennas and see if it helps any.

I had similar problem - stuttering picture on RC pro some meters afar, but refreshing current firmware did the trick and now can go a lot further

You can have FCC on your RC Pro with new Drone Hacks ver. 1.29. You just have to buy a license, plug your RC to your computer via USB-C cable and follow the instructions.

Is there any info for DJI RC? Sincoder says he already made it but drone hacks still didn't published.

Anyone interested to buy this and split the cost??

Hello guys, i would love to have a permantly enabled FCC mode on my RC controller. I use it for my Mini3 and bought me a RC N1 just to be able to apply the FCC patch but it bothers to have to do it on every battery change, bind to the N1, patch, bind to the RC, fly. Is there any way to keep it on FCC? This guy on youtube obviously sells a patch for 69 bucks but i dunno if its legit. Anyone experiences?
