I must confess that I stopped signing them during covid.

Had a great day out in Sandbach today with the Pocket 2 - and completed a Geocache Multi by finding the cache in a beautiful bluebell wood.  A Grand Day Out

I took a flight over the quarry again this morning whilst SHMBO'd had her hair cut for an hour.    Its weird.    If I fly over the quarry I loose signal really really quickly but then fly the opposite direction and have no issues at all.   Theres so little over there I cant fathom whats causing the interference.   Oddly though it only affects the Mini2 not the M2P, so I guess the M2P has larger antennas.

Topography can play havoc with radio propagation, particularly at UHF. I like to choose a hilly spot for my take-offs, but that's not always possible.

Can holes in the ground really cause that much issue?   The area is mostly flat apart from the holes.

From the looks of it,  its mainly sand and gravel.  But there is an old RAF building there,  so I have my suspecions that secret experiments might be inside it.

Last time I was at 350ft and I was still having issues.    Next time I will stand on the roof of that burnt out car.   BTW it was a BMW.  Based on the bumper which had been smashed off it was white once.
