I'm not very good at remembering to grab stills with the drone, but every now and again something catches my eye while I'm lining up a video shot and that reminds me to fire of a few.

Yup, I was looking up for a video shot and spotted that I could get a diagonal three stripe thing so lined it all up. Was very pleased with the result especially with those huts on the edge and the stream breaking things up randomly.

The huts are like some kind of deluxe beach hut, I think. I don't think they are big enough for overnighting, more a day lodge kind of thing, I think.

It is indeed a stream / small river.

I just liked the way it randomly broke up quite a geometric composition, giving it a bit of organic interest.

From the map, it appears to be called Old Mill Stream.

I wonder how it got that name

We can all learn something new everyday and almost with every flight.  I love this forum because there is a good mix of photographers and videographers.  


Only drawback is there is so much to learn and so little time.

I only had ten minutes to set up, shoot and then pack up for the Beer photo I posted, and the photo was an afterthought - I actually had some particular video shots in mind... But they need editing before they see the light of day.
