Very nice top down shot.    Quite the contrast in that shot.

Yeah, I thought it looked like a level from an old 8bit platform game or somrthing like defender (or flappy bird for the younger readers )

The rocks at the top form defences as there is a pub just above.

A bit further to the left of the photo the defences end and the cliffs are seriously eroding. Rich fossil pickings - I managed to find a trilobite fossil after about 20 minutes - that's about 250 to 500 million years old!

It's quite  a few years since we followed the Jurassic coast from Chesil Beach to Lyme Regis.
I remember my good lady found several ammonytes but not much else.

My other half sent me on an Ammonite hunting mission but all I found in that respect was the soils of someone else's find.

Then I found the Trilobite so was quite chuffed as they are apparently a bit rarer.

Full disclosure:

It's actually more like a Unilobite that I found - just the one lobe, unfortunately. The other two lobes must still be in the cliff, but I couldn't find them, sadly.
