Great eye! it is the USS Lexington which surprisingly few people know! it definitely is a beast- it was handling high winds with little to no problems!

Better wind-handling that my Mini One, by all accounts.  I'll most likely upgrade later in the year.

I definitely would consider it! I originally bought the original mini but was not happy with it because it wouldn’t stay connected to the controller which may have been a fluke but I couldn’t use it for my purposes so I returned it and then saw the mini 2 bundle at Costco before I left for a trip and decided to give it a go and I was so much more happy overall but there is a significant increase in wind tolerance which was amazing for me.

Apart from its tendency to get a little frisky in all but the slightest of breezes, I've been entirely happy with my Mini One and most of the results it has produced.  It's lighter to transport on hiking trips than its big brother the Mavic2Zoom (also a delight to use) which I reserve for excursions in the car.

No doubt about the Mini 2 being the drone that you get the most bang for the buck.  Very capable drone and fun to fly.
