This is the site of the subsidence which has caused 6 months of contraflow on this busy road.
And has now led to complete closure for a further five months to shore up the banking and rebuild the road.

Thanks DJI Stephen. I intend to revisit the site periodically and report progress on the repair works with more photographs or video.

Yes it was the retaining wall for the footpath. I shall monitor progress with the repairs.

That is true!

OK,   from that angle you can see why it will take longer to repair,   but where are the workmen.

That was on Sunday - they were probably in the pub

Great shot Mr. B.    Based on that terrain it is easy to see how that landslide occurred.  Without a doubt a major repair project.

Man, that has to be frustrating to the people that live around there.  Now's when we need flying cars; pot hole - no problem, landslide - no problem.

It probably would.  Unfortunately, they are already several prototypes being developed and it probably will not be long before they are available.  I know the FAA has already started discussions on regulations for flying cars.  Us recreational flyers are already seeing commercial delivery drones take over some of the airspace.  I'm just not sure how much longer recreational drone flying will be viable.

I think it is a cool, new invention but not sure what all side effects will come with a flying car, especially since they are to be like an airborne Tesla car.

When you see the way some people drive it makes you wonder how they ever passed the driver's test.

It sure is.  

I took a cab ride in Naples years back and man was that a frightful ride.  Stayed on his horn the whole trip and used parts of the sidewalks at times.

There's some signs of excavation now. A quick flight of the Mini One got some footage.

What might confuse you more is, there are two codes:
Rugby Union has teams of 15 and unlimited plays.
Rugby League has teams of 13 and a limit of 6 plays before possession has to be passed to the opposing team.
I won't go into details, as they're far too complicated whichever code is played

Sounds like I'd have to take a course to figure all the rules out.    Probably better I just stick with American baseball.
