Here,  any thing holiday related or electrical gets some additional insurance cover,  so if you book a hotel room and you turn up to the hotel burnt down you know that you are covered.

Not sure what that has to do with the amount of garbage an airplane is spitting out every second it's engines are running.

It hasn't,   the plane ticket was just an example of the free insurance we get from credit card purchases.

C19 has really used a lot of shops here to go contactless that wouldn't normally have been.But that was more about points of potential contact.

Lots of people panicking here about their holidays being cancelled but thats due to the airline issues,  as you drive you have much more control.

They dropped 5p on ours here and many petrol stations didn't pass it all along,    But the total tax on the fuel is nearly 50% so they didn't do very much to help.

We got 16% off or something. But that evaporated in 2 weeks because the traders anticipated an even higher price.

We have a fixed rate tax on it and then they apply 20\% on the total,  so we pay tax on the tax.
