I dont always enter those,   maybe just the ones that work off a comment.  In not jumping through the hoops.

I just had my Mini 2out in 29mpg gusts and it struggled some, would you say the Mini 3 Pro is better than your Mini 2?

It slows down as much as the mini2 does,   so a 10 mph wind will still knock 10mph off its top speed,  but it seems more stable in the wind and the gimbal doesnt leap about as much.   Just took mine out here for a flight but aborted as the wind is up to 51mph here.

Crikey, where are you, the outer Hebrides lol, my Davis anemometer at fixed 10m, hit 29mph gusts and yeah, i got the gimble wink once or twice, the gimbal on the 3 does look more stable.

Here in Essex at 100ft airdata was reporting 51mph and UAV forecast said 44mph.  It was howling for sure.

Ah, yeah probably was at that height but over rural though, it will slow some over built up areas, even at height. I do not check UAV nowadays as its just a forecast, not actual, but a good guide nonetheless, my rule of thumb is, if its over 30mph gusts at 10m, i don't normally fly, this was a one-off over my village and it hadn't quite hit my cut off Actually, those speeds are for my P4P, for my Mini 2 its generally 25mph max, its no longer fun above those, me butts nipping it too much lol.

I usually judge the wind speed for flying and then out of interest check the forecast.     What always gets me is how mild it can be at home,   and then just 1/3 of a mile away it can be blowing a gale because the buildings calm everything down.

Yeah, spot on, Its the same for me and my mast even though its at 10m, the recommended height for the anemometer. the buildings and trees can slow things down compared to the official wind speed recording at say RAF Marham, or non official and RAF Lakeneath and Mildenhall.

I deffo check the forecast and plan around that, if its anywhere near 30mph gusts then both the P4P and Mini 2 stays at home, if its anywhere near 25mph gusts then the Mini 2 stays home. Take this weekend for example, I doubt i will be out with either, its not looking good for around here at least. ALthough Saturday morning would have been acceptable but my mates busy working, so rude....
