The DJI Mini 4 will soon be here. Here are some of the specs:

  • 2" camera sensor with 8K video and 10x optical zoom
  • Weight under 200g
  • Flytime 45 minutes
  • 360 degree sensors both horizontally and vertically
  • Ocusync 5
  • Remote with 10" screen that runs both iOS and Android software

I can't wait!

No doubt the R&D stage through release date has to be at least 18-24 months.  Also depending on electronic parts availability.

Looks pretty ridiculous
That's because it's just someone's computer doodling.
It's not a DJI prototype.
It's not even real.
And it would be hopeless launching or landing on grass

Before any tells me, I am realise the above 'drone' is a fake.
But if you look closely I think they boobed with the propeller arms. In both the front and rear views the propeller arms seem to all point to the right of their pictures,
They should be pointing to the left in one view.
I quite like the concept but I think the arm pivot would be a nightmare and how would they force the extension and retraction of the arms?

Is that wishful thinking which I have nothing against, or the real deal I don't think there is anything similar even remotely announced. Again, I would like to see something like that but am afraid that all listed won't fit into the 200 grams weight limit.

Also the props are wrong. And why use the Avata battery? Too many problems with the latch.

Landing on grass? Of course it can. Even the DJI Mini 2 can do that but not start again!

It would be hopeless launching or landing on grass.
And with that narrow footprint, it would have trouble on any non-flat surface.
It's totally impractical and completely fake.

LOL LOL LOL *Wheeze, Cough Cough* You do know that when you made it up that you skipped ocusync 4 and went straight to 5, right? And that iOS is listened by Apple not DJI? And… *Continues arguing*

Speaking as a mech engineer who's been keeping up with drones, I see SO many things wrong with these recent "leaks". First of all, a 2" sensor in a mini? Ridiculous.
And don't get me started on how they're trying to make it look sportier but forgot that it's supposed to be a camera drone. Not a fpv drone. Ridiculous.
