Early evening near 8pm Pacific time, tthe eclipse starts and will go to at least 12am. You may not be able to ggo there
with your drone, but you can record it Video/Still???
The wideangle lens of your drone makes it about the worst possible camera to shoot the moon.
It's just going to look like a tiny spot in the sky.
If you want to photograph the moon, stay on the ground and use a proper camera and a good telephoto lens.
Hello there Bob-Mini-2. Good day and thank you for sharing these information with us. I hope thet a lot of our fellow DJI co pilots and DJI members can record videos and capture still of the event. Have a safe and a happy flying always.

I fell asleep, so missed out on finding out how it would look

Unfortunately, I didn't even try to take pictures but was able to stay awake long enough to observe that phenomenon. Paying for lack of sleep to day.
I woke up very disappointed that I had missed it. Just had a small glass of wine, sat in a comfortable chair
and zzzZZZ . . . As others, had good intentions

No problem, has happened to me before also. Those comfy chairs can lull you into sleep so easily.
