As I discovered early the Mini 3 Pro Micro SD card is recessed,  so unlike the Mini2 it needs to be pushed in further than I can do with a finger nail,   being caught out in the field I found the only thing I could use was another Micro SD card, not even a key would work.  But now I'm home and need to remove the card to get the footage I can't reach deep enough into the slot to eject the card.

Seems that the Mni3 should have come with a fitting tool.  But in the mean time what are people using to fit and eject their cards?

For anyone with access to a laser cutter,  attached is the design for the tool ready to cut.

Ive just designed a little tool that I will laser cut in the morning,   but the corner of an old credit card seems to work for me quite well.

That issue has already been mentioned in one of the youtube tests.
Somtimes it is an advantage being a female drone pilot, so i will not have that issue.

Problem is we don’t carry them here these days.  Apple Watch is all I need 99% of the time.   I carry an Emergancy £10 note in all my bags along with a face mask and my drone registration card.

All the mini’s have screw on propers.    Saves weight I guess.

SHMBO’d has long nails.  I know as she frequently stabs/slices me with them and she really struggled to eject it.   She did it in the end though.

All minis have split props connected by screws . Again its a weight issue. This drone will seem like a toy if you haven’t had one before, but its really the tech your buying.

You can transfer full res photos through WiFi ti ipad/iphone android etc. I think for video you need to remove disk.

I’ve not tried.   But DC Rainmaker said it overheats just sitting whilst on.

If it’s like the mini2 you loose the EXIF data if you do that.

Ps.  It’s not a Mavic anymore.  They technically dropped that from anything lower than Mavic 3.

I think it might need a couple of updates anyway , its not going to be perfect out of the box. More beta testing fun ahead.

I'm still not sure if I really need it. Carrying both drone and RC is not something I'm willing to do on my light hikes, and if I'm carrying a bag/backpack I might as well put something like M3 in it, which has better cameras and flight capabilities). True, 60 degrees up is a nice feature, but I would not really use it. So, again, don't see immediate benefits in getting one, for now at least...

I would use my nails unless ive bust them all lol I do carry a Samsung sim car ejection tool so prob that or another memory card, but I've never not had a nail to use as yet for memory cards, i am answering this because ei have a wifi camera with this problem and the body is in the way on one side making it even harder with my nails :/

That may be, but overheating whilst stationary is not something I have noticed in other drones I have owned, during downloading data to the computer by cable for example.

Since covid the rollout of the terminals here really accelerated,  even car park machines take them now.    I was in a store pre covid where the machines went down and they just closed for the day,   Ive not seen it happen since,  but I do usually have an emergency note just in case.
