A quick check of the midday sun in the UK just now, my camera gave f/2.8, 1/6000th, ISO 200 which is the equivalent to f/1.7, 1/8000, ISO 100.
I don't have much experience with ND filters but wouldn't an ND 128 (7-stops) or ND 256 (8-stops) be useful to bring that down to 1/60th? (If you wanted to film at midday)
Yeah, however, I'd hazard a guess that the majority of those prepared to faff about with NDs, are not likely to be capturing their footage in that sort of light in the first place. |
