What is the logic of offering a bundle of Air 2S (03) with the smart contrller which is only (o2)? Would not it make much more sense to bundle the Air 2S with the DJI RC Pro which has (03)

I have also read in several forums, that there are connectivity problems between the Air 2s and the Smart Controller

didnt this bundle come out before the rc pro was available?  wasn't there a switch over at some point?

is the o2 vs o3 really that big of a difference?

this is going to be an expensive combo, no?  how many do you think dji could sell at this late stage?

So, keep in mind the base Air 2S remote (RCN1) came out with the Air 2 before O3 was a thing.  Both the standard RCN1 remote and the Smart Controller have similar connectivity protocols, so there is no disadvantage there.  The RC Pro does have more power and we believe more antennas so it can produce better results.

The RC Pro was substituted for the Smart Controller in some packages for a few months, but it seems that was temporary while the Smart Controller was unavailable.  ON DJI's website they claim the Smart Controller is no longer offered for sale, so will be interesting to see if they go back to packaging RC Pros with the combo or if they have enough Smart Controllers manufactured to last until the Air 3.

As noted, the RC Pro costs quite a bit more than the Smart Controller, so a package with the RC Pro would normally cost more (although it didn't when it was a "substitute" for the Smart Controller).
