Definitely not something you see often. I guess you could call it odd, strange, unique or whatever adjective fits your liking.

There's a TV series about extraordinary houses. In one, half a hillside was dug out and the house built into it, then the roof grassed over. When it was finished, there was onll the entirely glass front of the building which could be seen.  One of those Eco-friendly designs.

This is an old BMW that must have breathed its last. It's perched on a mound of earth near the gates to their premises.

Bet it had quite the view though.  Although, I hope the glass wasn't a fingerprint magnet otherwise they would be constantly having to clean the prints off.

There's a coating on the glass these days which makes it "self-cleaning" but I'm not sure how effective that is.

Man, I got to get some of that glass then or at least see if the coating is available for aftermarket applications.

It's applied during manufacture. I don't think it can be applied later.

Not something I would choose either. Although mowing the lawns back in France was getting to be a major chore.  3 large areas to do. Just too much for a regular mower and not quite enough for a ride-on.  We were considering one of those robot mowers just before we decided to pack up and come back to the UK.

The MIL has three lawns,  two of which are in the middle of a ride on vs a bigger push along,    Takes me about half a day to mow it all so we found a local company that come once a week and do it for £30.   At that sort of money its just not worth having to maintain lawnmowers etc.

Absolutely. Plus the journey to MIL. But I guess that's a regular thing anyway.

Good calls, those. Haven't seen any grass-covered cars or houses around here, but once saw a car that had it's bonnet covered with a cow-patterned fur :-D Unfortunately, didn't have a camera with me by then.
