Hi,

What is the safest maximum temperature for the Mini 2 batteries while in operation? The user manual specifies a a max temp of 40C, but im assuming that is in reference to the operating environment and not the drone itself.

My batteries are often reporting a temp range of 40-50C after a 22min flight at 10-15C ambient temperature and I'm concerned this is too high.

that doesn't sound bad after a flight. just make sure that you let the battery cool a bit before recharging.

My average temperature across 228 flights is 42.6C (I actually have an Excel spreadsheet with details from all my flights. This is the actual average of my flights.) with a highest temp of 63.7C.

I have not seen any adverse effects on my batteries.

No worries, i agree with @blue_canyon21.

My batteries still in very good shape, and indeed some time temp > 40 degrees.

I just check on regulare base the max deviation between cells the cell values from high to low.

Thanks for this info, very interesting for me, as I am a bit worried of high tempt after about 21 minutes of flying in P mode. How old are your batteries?

No worries, i agree with @blue_canyon21.

Great to hear JJB. I feel better now. So far I have not gone over 44 deg C ever and that was in a very hot climate near the equator, but I stopped flying after  14 minutes, as I did not let the battery get any hotter. I have not yet checked the deviation, but will do this now. Thanks for info.

Hottest Battery Temp: 63.50c all working good.
