Since the MSDK V5 Beta 1 version has been released on 21st March 2022. The concept of MSDK 5.0.0 is shown. This is a brand new MSDK and it does not compatible with MSDK V4. The MSDK V4.16 is the last major version of the MSDK V4 and we will keep maintaining this version to release MSDK V4.16.1, MSDK 4.16.2 patches, etc for the bug fix. MSDK V4 will no longer support any new products and features. This documentary series will talk about MSDK V5 and its official sample.

Some announcements about MSDK V5:

• MSDK V5 only has an Android version, then it supports both Java and Kotlin language, the official sample is written in Kotlin language.
• MSDK V5 will focus on enterprise-level products. Therefore, the enterprise-level products will have the highest priority in terms of model and feature support. Then come consumer-level products and handheld products.
  

• Currently, MSDK V5 only supports the M30 series. It will support M300RTK(H20 series, L1 and P1) in late June. It will support Mavic 3 series and Mini 3 Pro around end of August as well as H20N for M300. It will support future products later but no old products.
  

• UXSDK V5 will exist as an open-source framework in the official sample. There will be no more concept of UXSDK V5 in the future. The developers can see an UI framework that is similar to DJI Pilot 2 in the official sample.
• We are welcoming the developers to contribute your effort to our official sample.

Frog! it just does not roll off the tongue, plus, you're trying to change years of abbreviation. P1, P2, P3 , P3A, P4, P4A, P4P, MP, MPP, MA, MA2, MA2s, M2, M3, M3C and god knows how many I've forgotten about. You'd do better saying "the F" but then that could be taken other ways lol ;)

Well thats going to be painful,     I wonder how many developers will want to maintain two versions of their app if they are not supporting the old drones,    the two SDK's are not compatible.

I would be more interested in, when DJI will open the new RC for third party apps.
Otherwise we need to take the N1 with a mobile phone or tablet.

I dont think it will be, could be wrong mind but there's not a lot of hdd space

Pretty laughable when the Mavic 3 was released 7 months ago as a flagship model and it STILL doesn't have the SDK.

Especially when its already written as DJI use it themselves to interface with the apps.

Theres only about 1.3gb free on the controller and they would need to release an SDK for the controller as well for apps like Litchi to work.

I would only like to have litchi.
Even with that low storageamount, apps could be installed on the SD card like on mobile phones.

I guess that depends on the app,  some need better performance than the sd card allows.   Personally I suspect they won’t open it up so that people still have a reason to buy the rc pro.

There are two SDKs one for android and one for iOS. They release the roadmap for them separately.

The MSDK is gradually prioritising to the enterprise level aircraft, the priority level of product from high to low is enterprise level aircraft > consumer level aircraft > hanheld product.

• There is no plan to support Mini 3 Pro in 2022.
• There is no plan to support Mavic 3 consumer level series in 2022.
  

And the SDK will be android only for new drones.

Look how long it took them to release it for the Mini 2, If the Mini 3 Pro was supported by the end of this month, that would have been pretty fast by DJI's standards and quite surprising, why they even mentioned that it would be is beyond me, unless it was a sales tactic? Still, disappointing though.

Im actually surprised that the Mavic 3 Enterprise hasn't been released yet.

I am waiting for the Mavic 3 supported SDK for mapping purpose.  

Hello! I just purchased the Mavic 3 Cine with lots of accessories and 2 year care plan. After spending over $5800 USD I expect a SDK Release for the Mavic 3 Cine very soon!

That is very disappointing/enraging  news. So they have arbitrarily decided to not support a new extremely expensive line, after god know how many suckers have paid out who knows how many millions of dollars on what will be useless to the many that bought them. How very DJI

According to what some people on the DJI Facebook group were saying, they said DJI Support chat told them that no SDK will be released for the Mavic 3 anymore. Likely because they want people to buy the M3 Enterprise.  You know, just DJI things.

I was *very* close to buying a Mavic 3 on release.
Looks like i narrowly avoided wasting a large amount of money as near a year later it STILL cant do what my Mavic 2 Pro can do.

Very disappointing DJI have changed their stance on supporting the Mavic 3 "consumer" drone via the SDK - lets hope this does still happen as so many potential other uses for the drone with 3rd party apps, and different ways of flying it, mapping missions etc.  Waypoint missions are fully supported on many of their older (non enterprise) drones such as the Mavic Pro, Mavic Pro 2, Phantom 4/Pro, Inspire 1 & 2 and some others.

yup - i returned mine .. they are a complete waste of money.

The money I got back i brought new batteries and more chargers for my mavic 2 pro to do my mapping..

Do we wait for the Mavic 3 SDK or go to the older version (Air-2S or Mavic 2 Pro) for photogrammetry uses?  

Those arent going to work on the mini without modification.

They just updated that article and remove Mini3 and Mavic 3 from the list.  

So once again DJI lied to us about features that would be available after purchase?
