Excellant.   I spent the day hiding from the rain,  mostly in the workshop with a paint brush,  but briefly under a bridge waiting to fly the mini3.

Hiding under a bridge.  I thought I was the only one that ever thought of doing that.  Long time ago I got caught out on a no rain forecast day on my motorcycle and the rain just starting pouring down so I found the nearest bridge and sheltered there for about 20 minutes waiting for the rain to stop.

Seemed sensible to me.   The winds have reached 44mph so my plans are dashed.

Just got home,   still did 4 mile in it though.  next job is sanding the inside of the holes on the radiator cabinet front panel.  Such fun.

Could be worse, you could be back to tiling an uneven floor.  I have to admit sanding is not something I really like to do.

I watched a couple of YT videos on tiling and that convinced me it was not something I ever wanted to try.  I'd have the  most uneven tile floor you'd ever seen.

Ironically walls are a lot easier to tile.

I gave that some thought and Im not entirely sure.   It might be as simple as its easier to see.

Only reason I was wondering is that if you see how fast some of the homes are being built now some of the walls are not really straight so it seems that tiling over them would be a chore.  Of course, I could be wrong once again.

Here for new builds and renovations its common to use a concrete panel to tile onto,  its like what you call sheet rock but made from cement and fibres and doesnt break down if it gets wet.

I'm sure there is.  I haven't spent a lot of time in home improvement supply stores lately.  Living on the boat changes improvement requirements a lot.

Over the years I have spent some time at the local Chandler's store.  No better place to get nautical gear.

Ive been in a few over the years,   some are really helpful and pleasant,  and a couple have been very rude and unhelpful,   like they dont like to serve people who dont belong to their yacht club.

I know exactly what you are talking about as I have left a couple of establishments with the feeling that I was not really welcome there.  The larger chandlers tend to cater to the uber rich.  I think in there eyes my 62 footer doesn't meet their idea of a full sized yacht.  TBH is really isn't a yacht and only the dealers dub it a mini-yacht.  I think anything under 100 feet is not a yacht.  

No problem as I now have a favorite chandler and trade exclusively with them.
