It has been great checking this thread multiple times a day for months on end ha!

As Oct 27 / or the end of the month comes closer, I had to make a strategic decision to purchase the RC prior to firmware release. I'm sure that there are a lot of people waiting for this so I decided to grab one now than risk not getting one when it is finally compatible. Also, resellers here normally cause a "shortage" and will likely take advantage of those who want the RC for their Air2S by selling it at a higher price. My latest count so far is 15 DJI RC ONLY Units (Stores/Local Online sellers) available.

I also ordered my accessories (Lanyard, glass protector, silicone case, 128BG Storage).

I have purchased DJI RC for the Air 2S hoping that the rumors are true. If not I will buy Mavic 3 classic without the controller

Like so many of you, been following this thread till that very day.

Also watching stock on Amazon but unfortunately sold out here in USA. Will have to buy direct from DJI when that time comes...

Makes me glad I bought two weeks ago.  I figured this would happen.  
Right now, Amazon says 1-2 months for delivery.  BH Photo is about the same.

Your right but since that is from the DJI Store I think it just means that DJI does not want to sell them on Amazon and would rather force people to buy direct.  If DJI has them available to order through their website I would think they could make them available to buy through Amazon if they wanted.

Looks like good news, my air 2s got new firmware and it state support DJI RC!

I updated mine both through the Fly app at the same time. No problems and works great.

Woohoo!!! The latest update is out. DJI RC now works with Air 2S. Thanks so much DJI, I’m from a hot climate and no matter what I did, my iPhone screen would dim. Not to mention the convenience. Cheers DJI

Looked to be imminent about 12 hours ago.
Twitter support changed tune from "we have no information regarding future support" to "look out for a firmware update" to those that ask.
A great day, but have a feeling the DJI RC is about to become hot property.
I bet there will be more than just me who are glad we took the gamble to buy before the update.
Now when I get home from work I'll update, gonna be a long shift when this excited

Happy days indeed. I'm at work and accidentally opened the DJI Fly app and an update popped up... I was thinking is this it, is it really happening? Lol... I then came here and seen all the post.

I have the mini 3 pro with the DJI RC. I also have the AIr 2. I would love it if DJI allowed the DJI RC to work with the Air 2 as well

guys, we did it!  I don't know if by insistence or because they already had it planned but the important thing is that it's already here, today is a great day for everyone

There's another update for the Air 2s, since the original update several hours ago. Something about module compatibility, and inconsistent firmware.

I just double check and the latest  Firmware  for Air 2S is still 2.0.4.2320,  please report what version you got?

Nice! I  had it in the DJI cart at checkout and could not find any info on shipping time before I placed the order so decided not to take a chance.  Best Buy was same price.   Don’t think it matters where it was ordered both are new and hold the same warranty.
