I'm back from my AZ/UT trip, we had a hint of moisture in the air, so I took my M3C Maverick out for a sunset walk.
Several years ago, before I became engaged in flying drones, I often went to a nearby hill to shoot sunsets with my DSLR.
While the hill was pretty close (~1 mile as the crow flies), the whole ordeal usually took about an hour or more.
I had to get dressed, pack the cameras/tripods, take the car, drive a few blocks, hike the hill, shoot, hike back, drive back, etc.
And sometimes the whole thing was in vain, as SoCal weather often tricks you the very last moment.
When I was considering getting my first drone, one of the reasons was: I could use it to check if I *do* need to go to the hill.
Eventually, I pretty much stopped going there, since the M2P, and especially M3C, provided enough quality to capture sunsets without even bothering to go anywhere.
Today I decided to fly over to the hill.
In Sports mode it took less than two minutes.
And lo and behold, I was still in my PJ, sitting comfortably in my driveway, enjoying the same (or even better) view that, a few years back, would take me at least 30 min and some sweating to get.
And, of course, I could not miss the highway 23 smile
Thank you for stopping by!
