Good news in that my courtesy Coast Guard inspection went really well.  They even remarked that I was well prepared for the cruise.  I wonder if that was because I had the beer fridges full or because I had everything covered on the safety checklist?

I did offer but he declined as he said he was on duty.  

I told him he could come back when he was off duty and drink a beer and we could swap sea stories.
