Great shots DA.    I'm still amazed at how  much the tide rises and falls in that area.  Boat in water and a few hours later same boat is sitting in mud or vice versa.

Just by the MIL house they do this every year.   Ive never bothered to film it as there always a lot of drones there.

Cheer DT,   Its because of the channel between us and France.   Further north the drop and fall is much much less.

I think you need to be to be honest,   Joe Brand did this one the other year and this year her daughter did it.

I've been all of the world and seen many ports, etc. but don't ever recall the tide variances being as big as they are at your location.  Does make for some very interesting shots though.

Ive not played with that,   for me the boats in b&w look wrong,   I feel like I should make them white or something before I convert it.

Some beautiful ports in the Med.  One of the places I have no desire to go back to is the North Sea, especially in the winter.  Biggest swells I've ever seen.  Fortunately, I was on an aircraft carrier but the Frigate with us looked like a submarine most of the time.  Those frigate sailors had to of been super seasick.  I'm surprised they didn't ask for submarine pay.  

Nice ones. I'll have to disagree about the B&W shot though, I think it looks dramatic and cool :-)

I sailed a 40ft yacht over the channel in a storm,   we had huge waves,  spent most of it trying to surf down them and not have them break over the stern.  Not a fun experience at all.

To be honest there wasnt too much time to think about anything apart from sailing the boat and getting across the shipping lanes with some big ships in it.

No doubt looking up at a big ship from a small boat can be quite scary.

We had issue with one as we turned to go around its stern and it kept turning towards us to mess up the route,   they also failed to answer the radio when we called them.   we ended up having to sail parallel with the shipping lane in the wrong direction about 2 miles before we could safely cross,  then of course we had to battle the tide to get back on track.

Sounds like that was a precarious event.  

I see boaters here that have no idea what they are doing and how navigational aids and no wake zones work.  It took me a lot of studying to get my Coast Guard Captain's license and it's easy for me to see all the mistakes that recreational boaters make.  However, I've also observed commercial fishing boats skirting or outright breaking maritime laws.
