I love flying fast and high (like life) but I also fear losing contact with my drone and losing it forever.  

Is there a way to set up the Phantom to return to home of contact is lost?

On the DJI Go application press the "H" with an arrow, on the left of the screen. Be sure to set your RTH altitude above all obstacles and within the limits of the regulations.

He is asking if RTH can be set to activate automatically as one can in the DJI Fly App. Pressing the "H" button if you've lost contact will do nothing.

I think the best advice is to READ THE MANUAL.

Read Failsafe RTH on page 14

Be warned that winds are stronger up high.
Don't let your drone get too high and downwind in windy situations or you could find that it can't fight against strong upper level winds.

Hello there alc0. Good day and thank you for reaching out. If the Home Point was successfully recorded and the compass is functioning normally. Failsafe RTH will be automatically activate if the remote controller signal is lost for more than three seconds. The Return-to-Home process may be interrupted and the operator may regain of the DJI drone if the remote controller signal connection is re-established. Thank you.
