Hello, I was wondering if the built in strobe lights that come on the M300 meet FAA requirements for night flight?  In other words are they visible from 3SM away?  I was told by a couple of retailers that they are compliant, but a couple of other sources have said they are not.  IMO the DJI website should say if they are visible from 3SM away or not.

a general rule of thumb is that if it's visible at 3SM away at night, it should be visible at 1SM during the day. I can absolutely confirm the ones on the M300 are not visible in the day beyond 1/2 mile. I think they're just useful for situational awareness.
