The first castle in Elverdinge was built around the 12th century. It originally belonged to the bastards of the counts of Flanders.
The Church of St. Peter and Paul was originally a Romanesque church from the 1100s. In the 14th and 15th centuries, the church was converted into a late Gothic hall church.
Vermeulensmolen, a mill with quite a rich history, was a former scaffolding mill from 1843, then a lookout post of the Germans, then again a mill, but with a diesel engine that belongs to the grinding of grain into beer.
